AS A SOPHOMORE (2012):

- Made two appearances, Feb. 17 vs. Pacific and March 3 vs. Lehigh, striking out two batters in 2.0 innings

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (217011):

- Made two appearances, Feb. 26 at Coastal Carolina and March 8 vs. Santa Clara, not giving up a run in 2.0 innings

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:

- Earned all-league honors as a sophomore and again as a senior at Canyon Crest Academy
- Had 49 strikeouts and a 2.72 ERA as a senior in 2009
- Spent the summer of 2010 playing for the Waikiki Surfers of the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League, going 2-1 with a 3.14 ERA in 13 appearances
- Father, Leland Sandler and uncle, Richard Sandler, are both Cal alums
- Majoring in American studies
