HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
- At San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno was 2007 North Yosemite League MVP, first-team all-league and second-team all-valley
- Was the 2007 Fresno Grizzlies' Hot Stove Banquet High School Player of the Year after going 10-1 with a 2.18 ERA and save, striking out 78 batters in 67.0 innings
- Finished his junior campaign 9-1 with four saves and a 1.85 ERA, striking out 61 batters with only 11 walks in 68.0 innings
- Earned first-team all-league, first-team All-Valley, and was selected as the Central Section Top Pitcher
- Was a member of the 2006 Fresno Bee All-Star Team, the Diamond Kings Central Section All-Star Team and the California Baseball Coaches Association Junior All-Star Team
