Peterson is in his second season at Cal as a 2017 senior after not playing in his first campaign with the program in 2016. Peterson spent the 2013 season as a true freshman defensive back at Cal Lutheran and recorded four tackles in six games played. He transferred to Washington in 2014 and went to school for two years in Seattle but did not play football for the Huskies. Peterson played three seasons of prep football and set a record for most fumble recoveries in his school’s history while helping his squad to the state quarterfinals during both his 2011 junior and 2012 senior seasons.
