Brenden Lambert is in his fifth year as the head football athletic trainer at Cal in 2019. He came to Cal in 2010 as a Certified Intern Athletic Trainer. During his time at Cal as an intern, he worked with the cross country, track & field and women’s lacrosse teams, as well as the 2011 Cal football team.
Following his internship, Lambert was hired full time as an assistant athletic trainer in 2012 and spent three years with the track & field program.
Lambert attained his certification in athletic training in 2010. During his first year at Cal, he began taking courses through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He later became certified as a corrective exercise specialist and a performance enhancement specialist. He has particular interests in manual therapy, functional movement assessments and rehabilitation.
Lambert received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Long Beach State in 2009 and a master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2011.
