Henry Weinberger is in his fifth year at Cal in 2017 and his first as Director of Recruiting after serving as the assistant director for recruiting operations in 2016 and the three prior seasons as a recruiting assistant.

Prior to his time with the football program, Weinberger worked with the Cal women’s golf team as an administrative assistant.
 
As a football recruiting assistant, Weinberger assisted in planning and organizing of all on-campus recruiting events such as official visits, gamedays, junior days and all other unofficial visits. He additionally coordinated recruiting travel and mailing campaigns. In 2015, he assisted in putting together the No. 29 recruiting class by Rivals.com.
 
During his time with the Cal women’s golf team, he assisted in day-to- day operations as well as assisting in planning the Cal Classic and annual women’s golf fundraiser.
 
Weinberger worked with the California Alumni Association at the Lair of the Bear from 2008-11.
 
Weinberger received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Cal State Northridge. He later earned his master’s degree in sports administration from Valparaiso University. While at Northridge, he was a three-year letterwinner on the swimming & diving team. A four-time Big West Conference Championship finalist, Weinberger is also an underwater hockey national champion.
 
Weinberger’s parents, Janet and Steve, are Cal graduates, 1981 and 1982, respectively.
