Hunter McWilliams is in his first season at Cal in 2013, serving in a quality control role on the offensive side of the ball. McWilliams has been on the staff at Louisiana Tech for the last three campaigns, including the 2012 season as a graduate assistant on the offensive side of the ball after two previous campaigns in charge of football operations and special projects.
McWilliams was a two-year long snapper at Texas (1999-2000), where he converted 100 percent of his snaps and lettered both seasons as a walk-on. He received his bachelor's degree in government from Texas.
In addition to his collegiate football experience, McWilliams has worked as a private coach for long snappers, spent three years as a financial advisor for Eltekon Financial in Austin, Texas, and was a fishing guide for Discovery Land Company.
McWilliams is the son of David McWilliams, former head football coach at Texas and Texas Tech. He married the former Catherine Wagner in 2011.
