Spencer Hagan is in his second season as a graduate assistant on offense, and serves as an assistant inside receivers’ coach under Coach Jacob Peeler.  Spencer is a former four-year letterwinner and starting tight end/H-back for the Cal football program.

Hagan played in all 28 games possible off the bench during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, as well as the first three contests of 2012 before his streak ended when he suffered a career-ending injury in the third game of 2012 at Ohio State. Hagan attempted to come back from the injury, but eventually medically retired as a fifth-year senior during the team’s 2013 training camp. He finished his career with 12 receptions for 94 yards receiving and two touchdowns with all of the stats coming during his 2011 sophomore season. Hagan received the Henry J. “Tiny” Bates Award presented by the Sacramento Grid Club in his final season with the program and graduated from Cal in December of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.

After graduating from Cal, Hagan served as a graduate assistant at Hawai’I in 2014, assisting the offensive coaches and the tight end unit.
