– Joined the Oakland Chinatown Blue Angels Volunteer Patrol Team in the spring of 2021 after reading about the random violent crime being experienced by the vulnerable residents in Chinatown and patrolled with the team during the spring and summer of 2021 with the group conducting foot patrols to help protect the elderly and other members of the community
– Received a Certificate of Recognition from Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, which was presented by Oakland Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong, for his work with the Oakland Chinatown Blue Angels Volunteer Patrol Team
