Gluhaich has not played during his first two seasons with the Cal program as a 2015 true freshman and 2016 redshirt freshman but is listed as the starter at long snapper on the 2017 preseason depth chart. Gluhaich arrived at Cal after earning two varsity letters in his final two prep seasons as a 2013 junior and 2014 senior at Bellarmine Prep for squads that combined for an 18-7 record, including a senior team that was 10-3 and reached the third round of the Central Coast Section playoffs after an 8-4 club reached the second round during his junior campaign. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 12 long snapper in the nation in the 2015 recruiting class according to Rubio Longsnapping.
