Veasy played in 24 games with 13 starts and contributed 63 receptions for 797 yards receiving with nine touchdown catches during his two seasons at Cal from 2016-17 and made at least a single catch in each of his final 19 contests. Veasy also had one kick return for 25 yards to total 822 all-purpose yards as well as one tackle. Veasy had career highs of 38 receptions, 491 yards receiving and six touchdown catches as a 2017 senior with the latter leading the Golden Bears. His six touchdown receptions during his senior campaign included both Cal's first and final score at North Carolina and UCLA, respectively. Veasy arrived at Cal in January of 2016 following his emergence as one of California’s top junior college wide receivers as a 2015 sophomore at Golden West College where he earned first-team All-Region III and All-National Division of the Southern League in the Southern California Football Association honors by compiling 1,552 all-purpose yards for a squad that finished 8-3 overall and earned a spot in the Patriotic Bowl. • Registered three catches for a season-high 77 yards receiving and a career-high-tying one touchdown reception against Texas with the score a 29-yard connection with Davis Webb to cap the Bears' opening drive and including a 30-yard hookup to get the game-winning drive started in the fourth quarter
