Fall 2024: Carmichael earned All-ACC Second-Team honors after Cal’s ironman led the Bears with 1,588 minutes played and started all 18 games in his final season…he started 65 of 66 career games at Cal…Carmichael was also named to the All-ACC Academic Team…he scored the gamewinner on his only goal of the season in a 1-0 victory at Stanford in the Big Clasico…Carmichael also assisted on an Arik Duncan goal in a 4-2 win over Saint Mary’s in Berkeley…was named to the ACC Preseason Watch List prior to the season.
Fall 2023: Named to the All-Pac-12 First Team in Cal’s last season in the conference…later capped his fall when he was selected by Nashville SC with the 21st pick in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft…started all 18 games for Cal and ranked second in minutes played with 1,548…was third in points (7) and tied for second with a career-high three goals…he scored the gamewinner and assisted on Fernando Lara’s goal in a 2-1 win over Washington…Carmichael also netted in a 4-0 rout of Dartmouth and a 1-1 tie at No. 18 Wake Forest.
Fall 2022: A dependable starting defender, Carmichael led Cal in minutes played (1,458)...he scored his first career goal and first points for Cal in the 34th minute of an eventual 2-2 tie at San Diego State.
Fall 2021: Had a strong freshman season in an otherwise veteran backline…made 13 starts and played the fourth-most minutes (1,061) on the team.
Personal/Previous: Media Studies major…talented centerback comes from an athletic family, as his mother, Beth, played softball at Cal State Northridge, while his dad, also named Kevin, played football at CSUN…has an older sister, Karisma, who attended Kansas State…his hobbies include snowboarding, playing video games, trying new restaurants and playing other sports.
