Biography

As a Junior (2022): Started all 43 games played ... led team and was fourth in the conference with a .412 batting average ... named First Team All-Pac-12 ... named NFCA Third Team All-American ... led Cal with 101 total bases ... tied for team lead with 13 home runs ... Led Bears with a 1.248 OPS and .771 SLG ... second on team with 39 RBI ... tallied six doubles and a triple ... hit two home runs with five RBI against UTEP on 2/20 ... collected a season high four hits against Minnesota on 2/20 ... went 3-for-3 with four RBI at Arizona State on 4/30.

Fall 2021: Filled in for the Cal women's soccer team as a goalie vs. Santa Clara, making seven saves against the Broncos, and earned Pac-12 Goalie of the Week honors in the process. 

As a Junior (2021): All-Pac-12 Third Team selection after notching a .327 batting average and a .573 slugging percentage...at the outset of the campaign, was named to the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List... tallied a trio of three-hit games in 2021...her eight homers led the team, belting her eighth in the final home stand of the season vs. Oregon...also paced her squad with 36 hits, 23 RBI, 22 runs and 15 walks...collected four RBI for the second time in her career vs. Utah on 4/10, including a three-run homer...the only Bear to start all 37 games...tabbed to the 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll and Co-Sida Academic All-District. 

As a Sophomore (2020):
Started all 24 games...Paced the Bears in hitting with a .481 batting average that ranked tied for first in the Pac-12 and tied for 21st in the nation...Ended the season enjoying a team-best 19-game hitting streak...Batted .600 in the final weekend of the season, going 9-for-15 with two home runs, a double, six runs scored and four RBI...In the final Pac-12 rankings, finished tied for second in hits (37), tied for seventh in slugging percentage (.727), eighth in on-base percentage (.512) and tied for eighth in doubles with seven...Went 4-for-4 against Siena, including a two-run home run, her first career four-hit game and her 10th multi-hit game of the season...Led the Bears in home runs (4), runs scored (21), hits, doubles, slugging percentage and on-base percentage...Notched three games with three hits and two games with three RBI.

As a Freshman (2019):
Boasted an impressive freshman campaign that ended with All-Pac-12 and All-Freshman Team honors…Ranked 18th in the Pac-12 in games played and RBI... Recorded the second-highest on-base percentage on the team at .408 and the third-highest batting average on the team at .315…Started all 55 games rotating between catcher and first base with a .987 fielding percentage…Finished the season tied for second on the team in home runs with 5…Led the Bears with 37 RBI…Paced her squad with 52 hits, 29 runs and four doubles…Scored the game-winning run in a 1-0 win against Duke…Scored the game-tying run in extra innings against New Mexico State on Feb 23…Hit a three-run home run against Long Beach…Went 3-for-4 in the Bears’ win against Hawai’i in March...Went 2-for-3 in Cal’s battle against No. 1 UCLA…Went 2-for-3 with one RBI against No. 6 Washington…Scored a run against Oregon on April 20…Notched two hits and one RBI in the Bears’ win against Oregon State in April…Hit two home runs and led the Bears in RBI in the series against No. 21 ASU.

High School:
Named to Southwest All-League first team in 2016 and 2017... Selected as Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017... Holds a .391 batting average... Played varsity all four years... Advanced to the semifinal of the CIF Playoffs her freshman year...  Hit for the cycle in a game as a sophomore... Ranked 20th in 2018 Class on FloSoftball... Recognized as a Scholar Athlete as a member of the team with the highest GPA in the Southwest League.

Club Ball:
Played for SoCal Choppers 18U.

Personal:
Daughter of Greg and Janey Smith... Has two older brothers Jake who graduated from Arizona State and Nick who attends ASU... Also a varsity soccer player that was named to the all-league team three of her four years in high school.
