Biography

Fall 2022: Played in 16 games, starting four...started the season opener at Cal State Fullerton and played a season-high 67 minutes...in Cal's second game, Lara earned a penalty kick when his shot was handled by a Villanova player in the box, and Fahmi Ibrahim converted the PK in an eventual 1-1 tie with the Wildcats.

Fall 2021: Redshirted.

Spring 2021: Played in four games as a substitute…recorded his first collegiate shot and shot on goal in the opener vs. Stanford…played a season-high 47 minutes on April 27 vs. Washington at Witter Rugby Field.
 
Personal/Previous: Undeclared major…born in Berkeley, Lara now hails from San Diego…a defender for the Nomads FC Academy, he previously won the Surf Cup and State Cup with Lamorinda SC…he attended Grossmont High School…one of his brothers, Edwin Lara, is a professional player currently with San Diego 1904 FC in the NISA…his parents are Santa Lara and Hilda Barrios.
