Luca Krasnow

Now in his second season with the Cal men’s soccer program, assistant recruiting coordinator Luca Krasnow joined head coach Leonard Griffin’s staff in January 2024 after transferring from Irvine Valley College. Krasnow is currently a senior at Cal majoring in political economy, and is one of the only undergraduate recruiting coordinators in the country.

Krasnow oversees the Cal program's recruiting efforts, project management and brand presence, strengthening the Golden Bears’ visibility and recruiting pipeline.

In addition to his work at Cal, Krasnow serves as the assistant general manager of Napa Valley 1839 FC, managing roster construction, sponsorship outreach and club operations. In his first season, Krasnow built a roster that was runners-up/finalists in the National Championship in The League for Clubs, went 14-0-2, and won the regional championships

Prior to his time at Cal, Krasnow was a midfielder for Irvine Valley College and excelled as a multi-sport athlete at Northwood High School in Irvine, earning varsity letters in soccer and volleyball. Krasnow also played in the United States Development Academy for Arsenal FC and Pateadors, while also playing for Slammers ECNL and Laguna United FC later on in his playing career.

Krasnow carries extensive experience for his age in sports management, having worked for Rome City Institute, a leading Italian sports institution, and College Life Italia, a top-five Italian international recruiting agency for collegiate soccer placement. In the span of six months during his time in Italy, Krasnow grew from a recruiting intern to assistant athletic director and Serie A elite coordinator.
