Raquel Savoy

Raquel Savoy was named a volunteer assistant coach for the California softball team in the fall of 2019, and is in her first season with the Golden Bears. 

Savoy boasts over nine years of coaching experience, including seven years of coaching at the collegiate level, heading to Berkeley after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at Santa Clara last season. She aided the Broncos' coaching staff with day-to-day operations, as well as infield, hitting and catcher player development.

Prior to her one-year stint with the Broncos, she served as an assistant coach at Chabot College for four years from 2013-17. Savoy also played at Chabot College for two seasons from 2008-10.

She has also spent time as an assistant coach at Dominican University, College of Marin and Tennyson High School.

A native of Fremont, Calif., Savoy played third base and shortstop during her collegiate career at Menlo College, finishing her collegiate career with the 2012 season.
