2023 (Outdoor): Competed in six meets for Cal… scored 6723 points in the decathlon at the Pac-12 Championships… placed third in the javelin at the 128th Big Meet with a mark of 46.61m (152-11)… collected 6116 points in the decathlon at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, winning the 110m hurdles in 15.15… College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America First Team… USTFCCCA All-Academic.

2023 (Indoor): Appeared in three meets for the Bears… finished third in the heptathlon at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Invitational with a score of 5348 points, sixth-most in program history, and set personal bests in the 60m (7.28), 60m hurdles (8.34), pole vault (4.70m/15-5) and 1000m (2:42.06)… at the WSU Open, totaled 5242 points in the heptathlon and posted a personal-best mark of 13.29m (43-7.25) in the shot put.

TEXAS TECH: Accumulated 13 top-3 finishes… won the decathlon at the 2022 Jo Meaker Classic… comes to Cal with a heptathlon PR of 5164.

HIGH SCHOOL: 110m hurdles and high jump conference wins (Sierra Foothill League)… owns the Del Oro High School decathlon record… graduated Magna Cum Laude.

PERSONAL: Received a master's in engineering… son of Paul and Leslie Whatley... uncle was a decathlete at Texas Tech.
