Jennifer Porretto is in her second season as an assistant coach at Cal in 2018. Porretto helped guide the 2017 Golden Bears into the MPSF Tournament for the first time since 2013.
A two-time team captain at Ohio State, Porretto previously served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Buckeyes for the 2016 season before coming to Cal.
Porretto was part of the winningest class in program history with 45 victories at Ohio State. She helped the Buckeyes to back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances for just the second time in program history during her junior and senior campaigns.
An All-Big Ten performer in 2015, Porretto was second on the team with 41 goals and third with 59 points and 18 assists. She had 15 multiple-point games, including six in a row to end the season, four of those against ranked teams. She scored three goals and had one assist in an upset win over then-No. 1 Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals.
Porretto finished her career with 101 goals and 31 assists, and she was a two-time member of the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
