A four-year letter winner in field hockey and lacrosse at the College of William & Mary, Mary Beth Noel enters her fourth season as an assistant coach at California.
As an attacker at William & Mary, Noel helped lead the Tribe to NCAA Tournament appearances in three of her four years on the squad (1996-98). In addition to her success in the NCAAs, Noel served as captain of both her field hockey and lacrosse teams as a senior (1999) and earned recognition as an alternate member of the U.S. Under-19 lacrosse team (1995) and first team All-CAA selection in 1999.
Noel traveled to Japan this past summer as a player/coach of the USA West Lacrosse team. She gained valuable coaching experience by spending the 1999 season coaching field hockey at Homestead High School in Cupertino. In addition, she honed her skills by spending numerous summers coaching at various top-notch lacrosse camps throughout the East Coast.
A native of Bryn Mawr, Penn., Noel received her bachelor's degree in English from the College of William & Mary in 1999. She graduated from Agnes Irwin High School in 1995 and is currently earning a masters of sports management at the University of San Francisco.
Noel currently resides in San Francisco.
