California Athletics Hall of Fame
George Roseme earned All-America honors in both 1949 and 1952 at Cal. He captured won NCAA championship in the javelin in 1952 with a throw of 228-8.75, while also placing fourth in the javelin at both the 1949 (204-2) and 1950 (199-2) NCAA meets.
Roseme received his bachelor's degree with honors in Political Science in 1953 and later earned a master's degree in Political Science from Sacramento State in 1960 and did postgraduate work at the University of Washington. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his service, he began a long career teaching political science, including more than 30 years as a professor at Carleton College in Ottawa, Canaa.
