Bears Can't Keep Up With No. 16 Oregon

BERKELEY – Senior Antzela Dempi had 10 kills and two blocks but the Cal volleyball team fell to No. 16 Oregon 25-18, 25-16, 25-19 on Friday night at Haas Pavilion.

Freshman Mima Mirkovic added eight kills and 10 digs for the Golden Bears (13-11, 4-9 Pac-12) while senior Christine Alftin, playing her second match this season as Cal's libero, added nine digs.

Dempi also recorded her 40th ace of the season, putting her just three short of Cal's all-time top-10 for single season aces.

The Bears will be back in action Sunday against Oregon State at Haas Pavilion. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
