BERKELEY - The Cal baseball team returns to Evans Diamond on Tuesday to host its final mid-week game in 2018 as BYU pays a visit for non-conference action. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live by the Pac-12 Network. Ted Robinson and JT Snow have the call. Live stats will be available through CalBears.com and live updates can be accessed by following Cal Baseball on Twitter (@CalBaseball).
Cal comes home for Tuesday's game before heading back on the road for more Pac-12 play and the Bears will look to add to what has been a successful season in Berkeley. Head coach
Mike Neu's squad brings a 17-8 home record into its showdown with the Cougars and, with only four home games remaining, the Bears need just one win to equal their home win total, 18, from a year ago.
The highlight of last week's action came Thursday for the Bears as the trio of
Matt Ladrech,
Zayne Patino and
Tanner Dodson combined on the mound for a 4-3 victory over No. 2 Stanford.
Andrew Vaughn and
Jonah Davis each homered and Dodson delivered the eventual game-winning hit with an RBI single in the seventh inning. Davis went on to hit another home run during the weekend but Cal dropped decisions of 14-1 and 5-2 to close out the series.

BYU's 2018 Record: 19-19, 8-10 WCC
	- The Cougars start a four-game swing through Northern California with Tuesday's game at Evans Diamond. After taking on the Bears, they'll head a few miles east for a three-game WCC series against Saint Mary's.
- Head coach Mike Littlewood's squad comes to town after taking one of three against San Diego in Provo. The Cougars earned a 9-1 win on Thursday before dropping decisions of 11-6 and 9-5 to the Toreros.
- BYU has had a strong year at the plate and carries a .283 team batting average into Tuesday's game. Brock Hale leads the Cougars with a .351 average, seven home runs and 26 RBIs while Jarrett Perns is also hitting above .300 at .326.
- The Cougars have mixed and matched when it comes to their pitching staff as seven different pitchers have started a game and three Cougars have recorded two saves or more. Drew Zimmerman is BYU's ERA leader with a mark of 2.18 and he is tied with Jake Suddreth for the team lead in saves with three.

Thursday Night Win Highlights Trip To No. 2 Stanford
	- A 1-3 week for the Bears saw its highlight come on Thursday as Matt Ladrech, Zayne Patino and Tanner Dodson combined on the mound to stymie the Cardinal. Andrew Vaughn and Jonah Davis each homered and Dodson delivered the eventual game-winning hit with an RBI single in the seventh inning.

Sabouri struck out seven and allowed just one base runner in 5 2/3 innings while Martinez worked five innings and struck out nine in his two appearances.
