BERKELEY – The California men's soccer team (3-1-1) starts Pac-12 Conference play when it hosts No. 2 Stanford (5-0-0) in the Big Clasico on Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Edwards Stadium in a game televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
 
Friday's match is Cal's third of six straight at home.

Last season, Stanford defeated the Golden Bears, 4-2, in Berkeley, and Cal likewise won on the road, as defender JJ Foe Nuphaus headed in the first goal of his college career in a 1-0 win on the Farm.
 
Junior forward Tommy Williamson leads the current Bears in scoring with six points from three goals, while senior defender Simon Lekressner (2 goals) and sophomore midfielder Alonzo Del Mundo (4 assists) are tied for second in points with four each. Through four starts, senior goalkeeper Drake Callender has compiled a 0.25 goals-against average and allowed just one goal.
 
Last Time: Cal Splits With American & Denver
Cal peppered the American goal with a season-high 31 shots en route to a 2-0 win over the Eagles on Sept. 13 at Edwards Stadium. Simon Lekressner netted his second straight game-winning goal with a 16th-minute header, with Tommy Williamson adding his third goal of the season in the 63rd minute. Drake Callender made two saves to earn his third shutout of the year.
 
Cal's unbeaten run came to an end against Denver in Berkeley on Sept. 15, when the Pioneers prevailed, 1-0, on a Preston Judd goal in the 30th minute.

Del Mundo Named To TDS Team Of The Week
Alonzo Del Mundo earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week on Sept. 10 after assisting on all three goals in Cal's 3-0 victory at UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 7.
 
The Richmond, California, product got his first assist 45 seconds into the game. His cross found freshman forward Arman Samimi in front of goal, and Samimi redirected the ball to Simon Lekressner, who scored to give the Bears the 1-0 lead. Del Mundo also assisted Samimi in the 14th minute and, via a corner kick, set up Tommy Williamson's strike in the 39th minute.

Drake Callender earned a call-up to the U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team training camp in Chula Vista, California, on Sept. 1. The camp was part of U.S. coach Jason Kreis' preparation for the CONCACAF Olympic Qualification Tournament in March. The 6-3 senior goalie returned to the Bears in time to shut out UC Santa Barbara, 3-0, on Sept. 7 at UCSB.
