CORVALLIS, Ore. – The California men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 result to third-ranked Oregon State on Halloween Sunday at Lorenz Field.

Cal's record now stands at 3-9-2 (1-6-0 Pac-12). Conference leader Oregon State improved to 11-1-2 (6-0-1 Pac-12).

Oregon State scored at the 30:00 mark, when Mouhameth Thiam tapped in a Carlos Moliner cross from close range. The Beavers got their second goal in the 50th minute, when Tsiki Ntsabeleng scored from about 22 yards out.

The Golden Bears' best chance to score came at the 67:18 mark, when forward
Nate Carrasco was fouled in the Oregon State box. Cal senior
Jonathan Estrada took the ensuing penalty kick, but OSU goalkeeper Adrian Fernandez saved the PK.

Cal next plays on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m., when the Bears host Stanford in the Big Clasico at Edwards Stadium to end the regular season.
