Cal Hosts No. 15 Stanford In Big Clasico

BERKELEY – With the regular season winding down and the race for the Pac-12 Conference tightening up, the California men's soccer team hosts 15th-ranked Stanford on Sunday at 2 p.m. PT at Edwards Stadium in the first of two Big Clasico games in 2023.
 
Admission is free for Cal students for regular-season home games at Edwards Stadium. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for seniors (ages 65-up) and youth (2-17).
 
The clash between Bay Area rivals will air on the Pac-12 Networks, with Kevin Danna handling broadcasting duties.
 
The Golden Bears (6-5-3, 2-3-1 Pac-12) are tied with Stanford on points (7) and in fourth place in the six-team conference. Each team has four more Pac-12 games left on their schedules, including the rematch of the Big Clasico in the regular-season finale on Nov. 11 on The Farm. The conference champion earns the Pac-12's automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.

Last Week Vs. Washington, Oregon State
Cal earned a big victory on Oct. 19, beating Washington, 2-1, but the Bears ended their trip to the Pacific Northwest with a 1-0 loss at Oregon State on Oct. 22. In Seattle, Fernando Lara scored the first goal of his Cal career, defender Kevin Carmichael netted the game-winning goal and Evan Davila collected two assists to top the Huskies. Marco Brougher made two saves in the win.
 
In Corvallis, Oregon, Cal allowed a goal by Arnau Farnos in the 19th minute, as the Beavers blanked the Bears.
