CAL PLAYS AT ARIZONA STATE SUNDAY
— Cal continues a string of three consecutive road games that will conclude its regular-season road slate Sunday at Arizona State
— Arizona State holds a 9-4 advantage in the all-time series after the teams first met in 2018 and has won each of the last eight games, including a 13-9 win in Berkeley earlier this season on April 2
— The teams have faced each other in the quarterfinals of each of the past three Pac-12 Championships with the Bears a winner in Eugene in 2019 for their first-ever victory in the event, and the Sun Devils victorious at Stanford in 2021 and Tempe in 2022
— Other memorable games have included a 13-12 Arizona State overtime victory the first time the teams ever played each other (March 25, 2018), a 17-13 Cal win in Tempe one week later (April 1, 2018) that was the Bears' first Pac-12 victory ever and the first of four straight wins over the Sun Devils, and a wild 21-18 Arizona State win in Berkeley last March 
— The weather forecast for Sunday in Tempe is calling for sunny skies, a temperature of 83 degrees, and winds out of the southeast at two miles per hour for the first draw at noon

LAST TIME OUT: NO. 21 USC DEFEATS CAL, 18-4
— Cal ran into the Pac-12's lone ranked team and co-league leader No. 21 USC last Friday at McAlister Field and the Trojans came away with an 18-4 victory, scoring early and often in a contest Cal never led.
Maya Lawliss, Kennedy Goss, Avery Hoeft and Belle Tiesi each scored one goal, while Caroline Rojas assisted on Hoeft's goal.
— The Bears played all three of their goalkeepers with Alicia Souliotis (10 GA, 5 SV) in the net for the first half followed by Riley Drullinger (27:58, 8 GA, 2 SV) and Chloe Rand (2:02, 0 GA, 1 SV) in the second.

Kennedy Goss has moved into second place on Cal's all-time list with 175 career draw controls and is within three of the school's all-time record of 178 set by LizaBanks Campagna (2018-21)
