BEARS VS. WARRIORS
- This will be the sixth all-time meeting between the Bears and the Warriors. Cal holds a 3-2 series lead in the matchup.
- In the last meeting between the two teams in 2016, the Bears notched a 51-31 victory in a game that was played in Sydney, Australia.
- Interim head coach Nick Rolovich was a two-year letterwinner at quarterback for the Warriors from 2000-01. He passed for 4,176 career yards and 40 touchdowns and held six school passing records.
- Rolovich also had two stints as a coach for the Warriors. He first returned to his alma mater as the quarterbacks coach in 2008 before being elevated to offensive coordinator in 2010. After spending 2012-15 at Nevada, Rolovich was hired as Hawai'i's head coach from 2016-19.

CAL...
- Is bowl eligible for the third straight year for the first time since going to seven consecutive bowls from 2003-09. The Bears were bowl eligible in 2002 but were not selected for a bowl. This is the 27th bowl appearance in school history.
- Will make its second appearance in a bowl game played in Honolulu after playing in the Aloha Bowl in 1996.
- Has four players on its roster who list their home state as Hawai'i: QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, DB Aiden Manutai, DL LeBron Williams, DL Stanley Saole-McKenzie. Sagapolutele and WR Jacob De Jesus are both finalists for Polynesian Player of the Year.
- Enters the postseason game having captured seven regular-season wins, which is Cal's most since a 7-5 regular-season record in 2019. The Bears posted their best conference play mark since 2009 with four ACC wins.
- Won two straight games against teams ranked in the top 25 nationally with a 38-35 win over then-No. 21 SMU and a 29-26 overtime win at then-No. 15 Louisville. The last time Cal won two straight meetings against ranked teams was in 2016 when the Bears knocked off No. 11 Texas and No. 18 Utah.
- Has registered at least one sack in 24 consecutive games dating back to last season.
- Has at least one rushing touchdown in each of its last eight games and scored 14 total during the stretch.
- Ranks fourth in the ACC in passing defense, averaging 197.3 yards allowed through the air per game. The Bears have allowed the fewest passing touchdowns in the conference, with only 10 scored against them in 2025. Cal is also fourth in the conference in defensive efficiency (118.8).

SAGAPOLUTELE IS HERE TO STAY
- QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele announced that he will stay at Cal and continue to play for the Golden Bears moving forward on Dec. 6, 2025.
- Sagapolutele has begun his collegiate career with 12 consecutive games of 200 yards or more passing and is the only Power 4 and second FBS true freshman to ever record at least 12 straight games of 200 yards or more passing to begin a collegiate career. Houston's David Piland began his career with 14-straight 200+ passing yard games spanning the 2010-12 seasons (did not play in 2011).
- He was named the ACC Rookie of the Week four times, the ACC's Quarterback of the Week twice, a Davey O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week twice and a Manning Award Star of the Week twice in 2025.  He was the first freshman to win Manning Award Star of the Week multiple times and joined Georgia's Gunnar Stockton as the only other player this season to win the award twice.
- Sagapolutele has completed 288-of-453 passes for 3,117 yards along with 17 touchdown throws this season. His 3,117 yards ranks sixth on Cal's all-time single-season list.
- At the end of the regular season, he led the ACC and was fifth nationally in completions, while he was third in the ACC and 15th nationally in passing yards.
- His 20 touchdowns (3 rushing, 17 passing) are the third most of any true freshman quarterback in 2025 behind BYU's Bear Bachmeier (25) and Maryland's Malik Washington (21). His 17 passing touchdowns are tied with Washington for the most by a true freshman quarterback this season.
- Sagapolutele finished 31-for-40 for 330 yards passing with four touchdown throws and no interceptions or sacks in Cal's victory over SMU. Both his yards passing and touchdown passes were career highs.
- He has thrown 139 straight passes without an interception, which is 46 shy of Jared Goff's school record of 185 in 2015.
- Sagapolutele became Cal's first true-freshman signal caller to win a season opener in Cal's 34-15 win in Corvallis, Oregon. He completed the first nine pass attempts of his collegiate career and in his first two drives was 6-of-6 for 125 yards with two TDs. He is only the second true freshman to be named the Bears' starting quarterback for a season opener and the first since Jared Goff arrived in Berkeley in 2013, on his way to becoming the No. 1 overall NFL draft pick in 2016.

MASSES EARNS ALL-AMERICAN STATUS
- DB Hezekiah Masses captured four national recognitions, being named to the Walter Camp All-America Second Team, AP All-America Second Team, AFCA Coaches All-America Second Team and FWAA All-America Second Team.
- Masses was also named to the All-ACC First Team as a defensive back.
- Masses finished the regular season tied for fourth in the country with five interceptions in 2025. His interceptions tied for second-most in the ACC.
- Masses led the nation and the ACC with 18 total passes defended and led the nation with 1.50 passes defended per game. He was also tied with fellow Cal DB Brent "Paco" Austin for second in the ACC and nationally with 13 pass breakups.
- Masses is the second consecutive Cal defensive back to receive All-America status after Nohl Williams notched five All-American recognitions in 2024 before being selected by Kansas City in the NFL Draft.

DE JESUS STACKS ALL-ACC HONORS
- WR Jacob De Jesus picked up two First-Team All-ACC honors (all-purpose player, specialist) and a Second-Team All-ACC selection (wide receiver).
- At the end of the regular season, he led the ACC and ranked third nationally with career-highs of 99 receptions and 8.25 receptions per game, while his receptions are second on Cal's all-time single-season reception list. Dameane Douglas owns the school record with 100 catches in 1998.
- De Jesus also finished the regular season as the ACC's leader in kickoff return average (21.3 ypr) and third in punt return average (11.3 ypr).
- The Bears haven't had a player lead the conference in receptions since Chad Hansen hauled in 92 catches to pace the Pac-12 in 2016.
- De Jesus surpassed the 2,000-yard career receiving mark after Cal's win over SMU, totaling 2,010 in 39 career games at UNLV (27) and Cal (12).
- He had a career-high and school record-tying 16 receptions in Cal's win over Louisville. His 158 receiving yards were also a career high.

KENDRICK 'THE SCORING MACHINE' RAPHAEL
- RB Kendrick Raphael ended the regular season third in the ACC in total touchdowns (13) and rushing touchdowns (12). His 12 rushing touchdowns are tied for ninth on Cal's all-time single-season list.

- Raphael has compiled a team-leading 853 rushing yards and 231 receiving yards, which is fifth most by any Bear this season. His 13 touchdowns are the most by any Cal player this season, with the next closest being five scored by WR Jacob De Jesus.

FERRELLI NAMED ACC DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
- ILB Luke Ferrelli was named the ACC's Defensive Rookie of the Year, as voted on by the league's head coaches and a select panel of media. He also added All-ACC Honorable Mention honors.
- Ferrelli, a redshirt freshman, started all 12 games for the Bears this season. At the end of the regular season, he led all ACC freshmen in tackles (87) and solo tackles (36). Overall, he tied for eighth in the conference in total tackles and tied for ninth in tackles per game (7.3).
- His 87 tackles are second most on the team and he has recorded three double-digit tackle games, including a career-high tying 11 in back-to-back contests versus Texas Southern and Minnesota, as well as 10 at Stanford.
