Hezekiah Masses tops the nation in passes defended with 10 (2.50 PDPG) with seven PBUs in addition to the three interceptions. His total passes defended is three more than the second most in the NCAA.Â
- Masses has recorded three interceptions this season. He leads the ACC in interceptions and ties for second nationally.
- Masses has doubled his career numbers in interceptions in just four games with the Bears. Prior to his arrival at Cal this season, Masses had only recorded three interceptions in his three seasons as a collegiate player.Â
- With his third-quarter interception against Minnesota, which was the sixth of his career and third at Cal, Masses has logged picks in the second, third and fourth quarters of a game at Cal.
- Masses picked off TSU at the end of the second quarter and returned it 28 yards to get the Bears' offense back out on the field. He returned a fourth-quarter interception 41 yards at OSU in his debut for the Bears.

Jacob De Jesus ranks sixth nationally and second in the ACC in combined kick returns with his 279 yards gained via punt and kickoff returns through four games this season.
- He ranks sixth in the conference and 28th nationally in kickoff returns, with a 24.2 average, and ranks sixth in the conference and 23rd nationally in punt returns with a 13.4 average.
- De Jesus has added 176 receiving yards on 20 receptions this season, including one touchdown against Minnesota.
- He ranks fifth in the conference in total all-purpose yards with 455. His 113.8 average yards per game places him seventh in the ACC.

Kendrick Raphael is just 38 yards away from the 1,000 career rushing yards mark.
- Raphael is the Bears' leading rusher this season, having gained 228 yards on 50 attempts on the ground through the first four games (57.00 AVG/G).
- He recorded his first 100+ career rushing game against Texas Southern when he logged 122 yards and one rushing touchdown.
- Prior to Cal, Raphael spent two seasons with NC State where he compiled 734 rushing yards and four touchdowns for the Wolfpack.

SAGAPOLUTELE NEARS 1,000 CAREER PASSING YARDS

Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele enters game five of his collegiate career just 20 yards shy of the 1,000 career passing yards mark.
- He was named ACC Rookie of the Week on Sept. 15 for the second time in three weeks, following his career performance against Minnesota. He had previously earned the conference honor after his collegiate debut at Oregon State.Â
- Sagapolutele has recorded a pair of three-passing touchdown games this season against both Oregon State and Minnesota. He also has one rushing touchdown this season.Â
- Sagapolutele threw the longest pass of his career with a 51-yard completion to WR
Jaiven Plummer against Minnesota, which was also Cal's longest play from scrimmage this season.
