Sophomore (2005-06): Threw Cal's second-best hammer (60.02 meters, 196-11, NCAA West Regional), third-best shot put (16.11, 52-10.25, Big Meet) and third-best discus (51.13, 167-09, Bay Area Blast Off)...took eighth place in the hammer in the NCAA Regional.
Freshman (2004-05): Ludden posted season-best mark of the season in the shot put (52-04.5/Brutus Hamilton), season-best in the discus (169-07/Big Meet), and posted the second-best mark in the hammer (191-08) at the Big Meet.
Redshirt (2003-04): A 2004 Verizon Junior All-American in the hammer.
High School: Ludden is a 2003 graduate of Harvard-Westlake school in North Hollywood, Calif....set school records in shot put and discus...school MVP in 2003...CIF champion in shot put and discus in 2003...played JV basketball in 2001.
Personal: Born June 29, 1985...parents are Paul and Mary Ludden...older brother, Michael, attends UCLA...also has a younger brother, Peter...history major.
