Redshirted 2005-06 outdoor season.
Freshman (2004-05): Outdoors, posted a 14.73 for his top time in the 110-meter hurdles at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational (4/9)...notched a 55.02 for his top 400-meter hurdles time at the Big Meet (4/23)...redshirted indoor season.
High School: Attended McClymonds High School in Oakland, Calif....brings depth to the hurdles...PRs include 14:26 in the 110-meter high hurdles and 38.20 in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles...an honor roll student...also played basketball and participated in debate team and chess club.
Personal: Born on July 15, 1986, in New Orleans, La....parents are Yahya and Mary Abdul-Mateen...architecture major.
