A native of Bremerton, Wash., Adrian is a four-time Olympic medalist (three gold, one silver) and the defending Olympic champion in the 100 freestyle after his win at the 2012 London Olympics. While at Cal, Adrian won 10 NCAA titles including a 2011 senior season in which he won the 50 and 100-yard freestyle as well as swimming on three title-winning relays as the Bears won their first NCAA team title since 1980. In the long course format, Adrian owns the American record in the 50-meter freestyle, U.S. Open record in the 400-meter freestyle relay and 400-meter medley relay.
