A versatile performer throughout four standout years at Cal, Pebley placed second in the 200-meter backstroke to qualify for the Olympics. He took second in the 200-yard backstroke at the 2016 NCAA Championships and owns the second-fastest time in Cal history in the event. He won gold in the 200 backstroke at the 2015 World University Games in South Korea and earned silver as part of Team USA’s 400 medley relay team. He won three gold medals at the 2011 World Junior Championships and set a new meet record in the 200 back.
