After winning his first collegiate title with a victory in the 400-yard individual medley at the 2016 NCAA Championships, Prenot set an American record to win the 200-meter breaststroke at the U.S. Olympic Trials. He had an incredible 2016 as a whole, setting a pair of pool records at Stanford’s Avery Aquatic Center, winning the 200 IM at the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool and taking the 200 breast at the Arena Pro Series in Austin, Texas and Orlando, Fla. In 2015, he won gold in the 200 IM and 200 breast and silver in the 400 IM at the World University Games in South Korea.
