Biography

Siegelaar is making his third Olympic appearance, having registered top-5 finishes in both 2008 and 2012. Although his boat finished fifth in 2012, the Dutch were just .05 seconds behind taking the bronze medal. He’s also made two World Rowing Championships appearances and has two first-place finishes in World Cup competition. During his time at Cal, he rowed in the Varsity 8 and won the Pac-10 championship in 2009 and captured the IRA title in 2010. He was an All-Pac-10 selection in 2011.
