Junior (2007): Came in second among the Bears in the 800 meters at the Pac-10 championships (1:51.19)...a member of Cal's second and third-best relay performances of the season (3:16.42 Brutus Hamilton Invitational, 3:16.68 Big Meet).
Cross Country: Ran a 13:25 in the Stanford Invitational...redshirted in 2003.
High School: A 2003 graduate of Cathedral City High School...fourth in his graduating class with a 4.23 GPA...set a school record 1:56.05 in the 800 meters and ran a 4:35 in the 1600 meters in 2003...800-meter champion in Desert Valley League in 2002...posted a 15:57 over three miles in 2002...clocked in at 10:02 in the 3200 in 2001...named all-league (2000-2002)...Cathedral City took the DVL championship in 1999 and placed second three times (2000-2002).
Personal: Born in Palm Springs, Calif....parents are Juan and Elsa Perezchica...Chicano studies major.
