TUCSON, ArizonaCamryn Rogers and Tuomas Kaukolahti claimed individual Pac-12 Championships on Sunday's second day of action at Roy P. Drachman Track & Field Stadium. Kaukolahti helped lead Cal to a sixth-place finish on the men's side as they tallied 63 points. Rogers and the women's team finished in ninth place with 36 points.

Camryn Rogers entered the hammer throw competition ranked third in both the NCAA and the Pac-12, but the sophomore made a statement on her first throw as she landed a personal best  throw of 68.99m/226-4 to make an early statement. That throw put Rogers in the lead after the first round and she did not look back. Rogers bettered that mark on her next attempt as she threw 69.64m/228-5, another personal best, school record and U23 Canadian record. In the sixth round, after Rogers had wrapped up the competition, she unleashed the best throw of the day at 69.79m/228-11. That mark stands as the Pac-12 winning mark and is the fifth-best by a Canadian ever. However, Rogers' top three marks all would have won Sunday morning's competition.

Tuomas Kaukolahti wrapped up his second straight Pac-12 triple jump championship on Sunday evening. The junior from Finland took the lead on his first jump and never relinquished it. He recorded a fair throw on all six attempts, all of which would have beaten the second-place mark. Kaukolahti ultimately finished with a leap of 16.12m/52-10.75.

Paramveer Chohan raced to a second-place finish in the men's 400m hurdles as he ran 49.80. That was a personal best mark for Chohan as he recorded the fifth-fastest mark in school history and the sixth-best mark in the NCAA this year. Chohan's outpaced his previous best of 50.63 by nearly a full second as he rose to the occasion at the Pac-12 Championship.

The women's 4x100m relay team of Deshae Wise, Zion Corrales Nelson, Maisie Stevens and Jackie Patterson took third place in the relay competition. The foursome ran 44.78 to earn a spot on the podium. Corrales Nelson followed that up with a seventh-place finish in the 100m with a time of 11.55, just off her personal best of 11.51. She then came back and took seventh in the 200m with a time of 23.56.

In his final Pac-12 Championship as director of track & field/cross country, Tony Sandoval's 800m runners collected points on both sides of the competition. Rebecca Croft ran 2:06.56 to take sixth place on the women's side and score three points. Benjamin Micallef notched an eighth-place finish as he recorded a time of 1:51.25.

Kendall Mader took fourth in the discus as she threw 52.34m/171-8. She notched that mark on her third attempt as she cleared 170 feet for the third time this year. Iffy Joyner notched a fifth-place finish in the discus as he recorded a mark of 56.35m/184-10. That mark came on Joyner's final attempt as he bettered his mark by four feet and eight inches.

The duo of Misana Viltz and Jasheer Foster both recorded points in the men's 110m hurdles. Viltz notched a season-best time of 13.86 to take fourth place. Foster crossed the line in 13.94 to take sixth.
Freshman Sydney Reid set a personal best in the long jump as she leaped 5.95m/19-6.25. She qualified for the finals out of the first flight, and moved up to take eighth and score a point for the Bears.

The men's 4x100m relay team of Foster, Diab Davis, Branndon Marion and Chohan rounded the track in a season-best time of 40.56 to take fifth place. The 4x400m relay team of Hakim McMorris, Adam Saleh, Nico Bland and Chohan finished in 3:09.23 to record a season-best time and finish fifth. Chohan raced the final lap, nearly catching the Washington runner in front of him, but his dive at the finish line left him one-hundredth of a second short.

The Bears will be back in action for the NCAA West Prelims, which begin Thursday, May 23 in Sacramento, California. The three-day meet will determine which Bears earn a berth at the NCAA Championship in Austin, Texas.
