Katie Morgan won the NCAA championship on pole vault to earn the honor of Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week. Morgan, a junior, posted a mark of 13-9.25 (4.20m) in Friday's event and did not have a miss through four vaults, enabling her to capture the national title. 

Her first-place finish helped the Cal women tie for 22nd in the overall competition held last week in Des Moines, IA. She also earned All-American honors for the first time in her career. 

The Tempe, Ariz., native set Cal's school outdoor record four different times this year, and currently holds first when she vaulted 13-11.75 (4.26m) at the NCAA West Regional.
