Black was a member of the Cal football program for two seasons in 2014 and 2015 before leaving the program following the 2015 campaign. Black worked out at safety in his first campaign and quarterback in his second did not see any playing time in either season. Black joined Cal football after a walk-on tryout in the fall of 2014.
