Erickson spent one season with the Cal football program in 2015 before leaving the program following the campaign. Erickson was a first-team All-Los Angeles City selection as a 2014 prep senior who made 11-of-19 field goal attempts and 79-of-83 extra-point tries in his final two seasons as a 2013 junior and senior for a total 109 points for teams that combined for a 13-9 record and twice reached the first round of the Los Angeles City Section playoffs. He also averaged 33.8 yards per punt in his senior season.
